Energy Drive Actualise Sustainability in 6 Steps

Energy Drive partners with companies from a range of major industries (from mining and metals to textiles) to actualise their energy-related sustainability goals. Using variable speed drives (VSDs) to reduce their clients’ energy consumption and achieve more efficient operations, Energy Drive also lowers energy-related business costs. Here’s how:
Energy Drive removes the barriers to energy optimisation by taking on the risk and staying invested with their clients for the long term. By purchasing the required equipment, installing it, and ensuring that it runs effectively for as long as it’s on a client’s site, Energy Drive has founded an innovative, fully engineered, turnkey solution executed via a performance contract – a business model that has been used successfully for over a decade.
Ideally suited to organisations with large facilities operating continual industrial processes, Energy Drive’s energy-saving solution is carried out in six simple steps:
Step 1: Applications are assessed on-site to inform our energy-saving solution.
Step 2: A detailed system proposal is created in collaboration with the client’s engineering teams and is signed off by both parties.
Step 3: A functional and/or technical design specification is developed in accordance with regional compliance standards and industry best practices.
Step 4: The innovative energy-saving system is implemented at no cost to the client.
Step 5: The system is switched on and the contracted savings commence.
Step 6: The system is remotely monitored and fully maintained for the full contract period. Data is compared to baseline consumption to provide verified savings available to clients via an access-controlled web page.
Each Energy Drive system is installed with a fully motorised bypass so that in the unlikely event that a VSD fails, the motor can quickly revert to the original starting methodology i.e.: DOL. Once the fault has been cleared, the system can be changed back to VSD control. Most of the time, this bypass system kicks in quickly enough to avoid production down time. Energy Drive is incredibly diligent about the way in which energy consumption data and the ESG benefits that result from saving power are metered and reported, with all data sent to an independent third party before appearing on the client’s web page in real-time.
