Solution

Energy Drive partners with companies from a range of major industries to actualise their energy-related sustainability goals. Using variable speed drives to reduce our clients’ energy consumption and achieve more efficient operations, we also lower energy-related business costs. We achieve this by removing the barriers to energy optimisation by taking on the risk and staying invested with our clients for the long term. By purchasing the required equipment, installing it, and ensuring that it runs effectively for as long as it’s on a client’s site, we have founded an innovative, fully engineered, turnkey sustainability solution executed via a zero-capex performance contract. It’s our way of providing sustainability as a service.

SIBANYE COLLABORATES TO SAVE ENERGY

One of Energy Drive's recent energy-saving successes was with leading international OEM Rockwell Automation and Sibanye-Stillwater in South Africa.

The project aim was to reduce the electricity consumption of large surface ventilation fans by installing VSDs to more efficiently control the speeds of the motors to achieve significant energy and cost savings which further provides a significant reduction in scope 2 emissions for Sibanye-Stillwater's site.  Read the full case study below to find out more about this collaboration.

MEASUREMENT and VERIFICATION

Each Energy Drive system is monitored for electrical consumption, and system health and performance by Energy Drive sister-company, Apogee Analytics. With nearly a decade of experience in data collection and analytics of industrial fans, pumps, and motors, Apogee Analytics provides a wide range of services including:

Data collection
Alerting
Analysis of proccesses
Data storage & visualisation

Data Collection

Data storage and visualisation

Analysis of processes to evaluate energy saving opportunities

Alerting on process and equipment parameters or failure modes for preventative maintenance

Energy consumption data is sent to an independent third party, meaning the integrity of the data is of the highest standard. This information is available to clients via an access-controlled web page, while the Energy Drive control centre can analyse the data and generate any alerts, ensuring Energy Drive is always aware of the health of every system in the field.
